ARAHURA FAT STOCK SALE. \V. JEFFRIES AND CO.’S REPORT. Yesterday’s fixture at the above yards comprised an entry of G 5 head of fat battle for ATessrs Sullivan Bros., tlio quality of which was equal to the previous yarding, tlie line being a very even and finished lot. Competition was hardly as keen as the previous fixture, the heavy cattle not being so much sought for by butchers. Ox beef made to 40s per hundred, while cow and heifer were very little below that of liast sale. Messrs AY. Jeffries and Co. sold ns follows:—On account of Alessrs Sullivan Bros., 2 bullocks at £l6, 1 at £l4 ss, 5 at £l4. 0 at £l7 7s Gd. 1 at £l3 10s. 9 at £l3 2s Gd, 3 at £l3 ss, 2 at £l2 2s Gd. 1 at £l2 7s Gd, 3 at £l3 ss, 3 at £ll 12s Gd, 3 fat £ll 15s, 2 at £ll 10s. 2 at £ll 15s, 2 at £ll, 2 heifers at £9 15s, 1 at £9 10s, 1 at £9, 2 at £8 15s. 1 at £8 7s Gd, G at £8 2s Gd, 4 at £B. AL HOUSTON AND CO.’S REPORT. S At tlio usual fortnightly sale at the above yards yesterday our entry consisted of 43 liehd of fat cattle, the attendance of buyers being smaller than usual. Competition was somewhat slack for this time of the year, no doubt due to the fact that some of the northern butchers had drawn supplies front Canterbury, and as a consequence there whs a- decided drop in prices which were from 30s to 40s per head lower than last sale. Best ox beef did not realise more than 36s per hundred, good heifer beef sold front 30s to 35s and cow beef from 25s to 28s. AVe sold as follows:—On account of Air R. A. Harcourt 2 bullocks at £9 7s 6d, 1 at £l3 17s 6d, 1 stag at £6 15s, 1 at £3 os: on account, of Air AA". F. Diedrich 2 bullocks at £l4, 1 at £l6. 2 at £l2, 1 at £l4 2s 6d. 1 at £l3 15s. 1 stag at £8 17s 6d; on account of Air G. R. Northcroft 3 heifers at ££7, 3 at £6 ss, 3 steers at £7, 2 at £6 7s 6d. 2 cows at £7 2s Gd, 2 at £7, 3 at £6 10s, 3 steers at £7 7s 6d, 1 sucker at £3 10s, 2 cows at £2 17s 6d. 1 stag at 30s.
