The North of Scotland in tlio first ifinings scored 96 runs, Sinclair Off) and MacHne (23) being the chief scorers. Tn the bowling, Mailey took 4 for 31, Richardson 2 for 24, Everett 3 for 12, and Macartney 1 for 7. Australia in the first innings made .Andrews scored 61, Ryder 92, E* erett 77. Pons ford 32, and Oldfield 38. lit the bowling, McKissack took I for 112. Brittain-Jones 3 for 47. and Bowden. 3 for 76. Stumps were then drawn. The wrtrther was fine, but the wicket was soft. The Scots’ opening pair made a promising stand, but the remainder fell easy victims to the bowlers. The Australians batted in a holiday spirit, and slashed the bowling about. This mutch concludes the tour. The Australians disband to-morrow. They spend their last ten days according to their own devices, and they will sail by the Canadian Pacific steamer ■Montrose on the first of October.
