Nows from Los Angeles states that warrants have been issued for the arrest of Miss Annie McPherson and her mother. The charges are of an alleged intent to carry out a criminal conspiracy. The charges will bo accepted by their attorney. There also are others charged to the number of four, including Kenneth Arminstou, a former radio operator at the Evangelists’ Angelus Temple, whoso wife is believed to be in Australia. The warrants, have been issued as the climax to a lengthy investigation into flic McPherson’s story re their recent alleged kidnapping and imprisonment in Mexico, which caused a sensation all over America. The story is now characterised as a hoax by District- Attorney Keyes. (Received this day at 8 a.m.) NEW YORK* September 19. Tt is announced from Los Angeles that Mrs Kennedy, the mother of Miss Aim me McPherson, was arrested late on Friday. Miss McPherson, however, has not been arrested on account of illness. ■ Los Angeles telegrams state .Mrs OrinistOp, wife of Kenneth G. Ormiston, who is the principle witness in’the Aimec Semple McPherson ease is said to have returned tp California from a visit to her parents’ home in Australia. Simultaneously with this repeat, flic Los Angeles police ordered a search to be made throughout the Continent for Kenneth, with instructions, for his arrest. Aimcoi, disapearod in Los Angeles (where it was dragged for her ‘body) and her spectacular reappearance in Mexico, it is alleged lie admitted that if Mrs -Oriniston should sue him •for divorce, she would probably name Aiuiee as a co-respondent, because Aimec was bis companion in a cottage at Carmel by the Sea in Mexico. Ormistim is expected to surrender, if promised immunity, and it is thought lie will expose everything. Mrs Minnie Kennedy, Aimee’s mother and co-worker in the million dollar Angeles temple in Los Angeles has beer, arrested bn a ; charge of criminal conspiracy anil preparing,false evidence in connection with Aimee’s disappearance. She was admitted to bail. Aimee’s arrest has lieen deferred owing to her illness. Four others, whose identity is secret, will be similarly charged, particularly that they furnished false evidence to represent Aimee had gone oil a voluntary visit to Mexico with Ormiston. Amazing revelations are expected .at the preliminary hearing, which is set down for 27tli September.
