POLICE OFFENCES. The police charged a local resident with being on licensed premises vlnlo prohibited and with procuring liquor. Dined 5s and costs 7s on each charge. Police v. Ruby A. Havill (Mr Murdoch) charged with illegally having poscKsion of 4 opossum skins and Luther of killing same. A plea of guilty was make to the first charge and not guilty of the latter. . Charles Xlills charged with having posession of four skins pleaded not uuiltv. Defendant (Havill) was convicted on the charge pleaded guilty to and was fimjd 20s and costs 7s. the other • ••i*. ~ being dismissed. HEAVY MOTOR TRAFFIC. Traffic Inspector, A. J. Bloss (Mr Park-) charged N. 0. Randall with driving a motor lorry without having license under the heavy traffic byelaws. Defendant pleaded guilty. Air Park said on this occasion it was not asked for a heavy fine, the charge being brought as a warning. Defendant had an ordinary license but not a. license for heavy traffic. Convicted and ordered to pay costs 7s and counsel fee 21s. , . . A similar charge was laid against Whilov’s Ltd., but was withdrawn. Alfred James Searle was similarly charged (Mr Elcock), and was convicted and oijlered to nay costs 7s and counsel’s fee 21s. variation of order. An application for variation of an order for maintenance was granted. Arrears to date were remitted and order held over. Mr Sellers appeared for applicant. BOROUGH BYE-LAWS. For allowing cattle to wander a conviction was recorded in the case of Borough Inspector (Air Park) r. TV. Pascoe. 1 cow. Fined 5s and costs 17s 6d. Borough Inspector (Air Park) v. J. Lakin. riding a cycle on a footpath was fined 5s and costs 1/s fid. James F. Afarks. Win. Holley, R. Youngnian, E. Kearns for rising a cycle, at night without a light wore each fined os and costs 17s 6d. F. Rudkin similarly charged was fined os with costs 21s fid. Herman R. Smith, charged with leaving a motor-car unligktod at night, was fined os and costs 1/s 6d. Norman Randall, similarly charged, fa lorrv) was fined os and costs 17s fid. DEBT CASES. Judgment for plaintiff with costs was given in the case of C. Wool house (Mr ETcoek) v. Ernest Longley, claim £3 14s 9d with costs 30s 6d,
