THOUGHTS FOR THE TIMES.
A Dkcent And Dauntless People
Before the war Germany attempted to lead by might, America to-day aspires to the position by reason of her wealth, but national supremacy comes only from qualities of mind and spirit, and these the British people possess in a high degree. Despite the surface ebulitions, the heart of the nation is still sound, and the great task of organising something better than the social situation of the last few years ] merited by the spirit of class stri'.o will surely ibe -accomplished.
