CAT DOWN RAIN-PIPE.
GENEVA, July 29. The Genovn fire brigade and a squad of gendarmes wore called out Inst night to rescue a cat which during its peregrinations on the roof of a high building fell down the rain-pipe. In the rescue effort the pipe was demolished, but the animal was not discovered until the pavement had been torn up. Then it was found firmly wedged in a socket six feet below the surface.
