RACING COMMENT. (Received this day,at 10.15 a.in.) SYDNEY,, Sept. 13. The “Herald” commenting on the Chelmsford Stakes says.—“Wimlhag was tho last of the six to move, but that did not cause consternation or comment. At the mile post King \a I was a length or so ahead of Limerick and the others in order were Farmer, Rapine, Windbag, with Pantheon at the rear. A .little further on it was seen that Windbag was not in galloping humour Munro was at him with bis hands and knees. When they turned into the straight Limerick was well clear from Rapine and Windbag. Windbag however was sluggish and would not do wliat was required of him, not in the way he chased and heat Valicare in the Warwick Stakes the previous Saturday. Tho result was victory for a gelding engaged in the Australian Jockey Club classic, and this win for tbc Now Zealnnler enhances interest in the race for tho Derby. Limerick is a. good game horse, and is in splendid condition.” The “Telegraph” says Limerick Now Zealand’s candidate for-the Derby won the Chelmsford Stakes impressively, cantering home two lengths in advance of Windbag. Tt was on sufferance that lie ran Limerick to two lengths. The champion’s form is not to be compared with the Warwick form showing. Windbag is to be given an easy time for the next foi tniglit and will not race again till the opening day of the Australian Jockey Club meeting.”
