The Council passed the Appropriation Bill, adjourning at 10.10 until the I ringing of tlio bull. THE HOUSE. The House met at. 11 a.m. Replying to Air Sullivan, Hon J. G. Coates said the Government was keeping in close touch with the unemployment question and no effort would he spared to relieve the situation wherever it was acute. Art Speaker then left the Chair to await the return of the Appropriation Bill from his Excellency the GovernorGeneral. PARLIAMENT CLOSES. WELLINGTON, September 13. The first session of te 22nd Parliament was brought to a conclusion at 1.5 p.m. on Saturday when, after the Appropriation Bill was received back from the Governor-General, valedictory speeches were made in which members wished the Prime Minister every success at the Imperial Conference. The House closed with the singing of tlio National Anthem.
