The Ruahine Didies Hockey Team, which divided the honours with Southland at tlie recent championship meeting at Invercargill were accorded tt civic welcome on arrival home. Tho Mayor at the luncheon congratulated them upon the success which added lustre to already a fine reputation and said it would stimulate a greater interest in ladies hockey in the future and in the fact of the ehnmpionship honours shared by the North Island team, should also give the game ail additional impetus in the north. Tho Manager. Air A. AY. Soiindy. returning thanks, paid a tribute to the wonderful hospitality of the Southland residents to the winning team.
