AIR TRAGEDY INQUEST.

An inquest revealed that- the woman passenger in the aeroplane smash at 'Leatherhead is not Leavey’s wife hut Mrs Stnlhi'd. wife of Flight-Lieut. Stallnrd. The Coroner enquired whether the husband was present and Stnllard stepped forward. Answering the Coroner, he said he was satisfied it was his wife hut did not wish to say more. A graphic story was related by Sidney Cheesemnn. an eye witness of the crash. He helped to remove Keene from the wreckage. Keene told witness he wanted to jump out and the others prevented him. Then lie asked me to kill him. as he was suffering agony. Amidst the wreckage I saw the charred bodies of Leavey and a woman who appeared in a close embrace.
