ACCIDENTAL DEATH. WELLINGTON, Sept. 7. At the inquest of John Marijan Mtliiicli, who died as the result of injuries suffered through being run over by a motor ear tut Friday evening, John Allan driver of the ear stated he was travel ling on the proper side ol tlie toad tit a speed of twelve miles, when a man suddenly ran off the kerb in front of the ear. Witness sounded the horn but the man appeared to stumble and fell face downwards almost in front of the- car. Tho brakes were applied, but a bump followed immediately, the right wheels evidently going over the man’s body. If the man had not hesitated but kept running straight on, he would have been all right. An employee of deceased stated that Mulicich was slightly deaf and was probably running across the street to get cigarettes. The Coroner returned a verdict of accidental death, there not being the slightest suggestion of negligence on the part of the car driver, who exercised the utmost care.
