[Australia & N.Z. Cable Assoc ation. AUCKLAND, Sept. 5. The New Zealand Cross-Country Championship ; resulted :—Kells (Auckland) first; Wilson (Auckland) second; Davidson (Auckland) third. There were eighteen starters. Auckland easily won tho team championship, Otago being second, and Wellington third. SYDNEY, Sept. 5. Tho ten miles running championship of New South Wales was won by A. Gainsford for the third year in succession. His time was 56 mins. 14 secs. Victoria beat New South Wales for the teams’ championship.
