The Spring racing carnival opened with the Warwick Farm meeting yesterday in beautiful weather, the courso being in excellent conditon. New Zealand was well represented. Sprng Handicap.—Pantheon 1, Star Stranger 2, I.my 'I hr ice and Boonald a dead heat 3. Thirteen started. Won by two anil a half lengths. Time 2.18.]. HobaiJville Stakes—Rampinn 1, Limerick 2, Amusement 8. Thirteen ran. Won by two and a half lengths. Time 1.26}. Warwick Stakes.—Windbag ], A'alic.iro 2, Run lie 3. Also started: Royal Tea and Arendale. Won by half a neck. Rapine was four lengths away. Time 1.33.
Glenloc Handicap.—Chris 1, Balbus 2, Onward 3. Sixteen started. Won by a bead. Time 1.40.
Oampbelltown Handicap.—Quixoti ’ 1, Calmest 2, Moocb Along 3. Fourteen started. Won by two lengths. Time 1.13.
S. Craeknell rode Rampinn, MeCarten Limerick, Munro AViidbag, and Reed Star Stranger. MELBOURNE, Sept. 5.
