RIVIERA. MURDER CLUE. PARIS, July 21. The detectives investigating the mysterious murder of -Mrs Annie Gordon, the Stamford {Lincolnshire) widow who was found dead in her villa at Juan les Pins on the Riviera on .Monday, have applied for a warrant for the arrest of a Pole who disappeared on the same day from a boarding-house where ho was employed at Juan les Pins. The Pole was last seen in a night cafe at Juan les Pins, where lie was buying champagne lavishly and inviting everyone to drink with him. 'The police say that he had several thousand francs in his possession, the amount corresponding approximately to the sum missing from -Mrs Gordon’s strong Imx. While 'be was washing his hands in the calc the Pole dropped a gold wrist watch. A man returned it to him. The watch is said to resemble that worn by Mrs Gordon, which is also missing.
