EVERYBODYS PICTURES. “A .MAN OF IKON TO-NIGHT. IGiilip Durban, file presiding genius of n great iron foundry marries Claire Houdoin. the spoiled daughter of .an impoverished society matron. Claire, infatuated with a worthless, fortunehunting Prince, is a loveless wife. Durban, startled and bitterly hurt at his wife’s coldness on their wedding day resolves that their marriage shall he such in name only. Prince Novakiau marries .Maybello Callahan, daughter of the wealthy Chocolate King, to recoup his fortunes. Claire, through an accident, learns that her husband has been advancing huge sums of money to her mother. Her respect and admiration for him is further enhanced by her knowledge of his unselfish generosity, hut again he repulses her advances. Hurt and depressed at her husband’s coldness, she becomes worn and ill, and Durban, kindly as always, advises a trip abroad. The Prince, tiring of Mavhelle, follows Claire to Italy, where he endeavours to force his attentions upon her. Advised h.v .Mrs Bowdoin of the insistence of the Prince, Durban rushes to.ltaly. Durban finding the Prince annoying his wife, tears him from her and knocks him to the iloor. The Prince demands that Durban fight a duel with him and Durban agrees. It is a pistol duel. Both men raise their pistols to shoot. Durban’s pistol misses fire, lie staggers a bit, wounded, but lie traightens up, fires and kills the Prince. Claire, wlho has been watching the fight, rushes to Durban, as he collapses. She speaks to him, “ Now we can start all over again.” As he is raised to his feet. Durban reaches for Claire, draws her to him and kisses her.
Commencing on Saturday evening the new serial ‘‘The Fighting ltanger,” will be found a great picture adventure. starring J;ick Daughtery and Eileen Sedgwick. The scene of the story is laid in the cattle country of the southwest. John Marshall, the father, has been in hiding for fifteen years as the result of a shooting in self defence. His daughter, then a child, and two retainers live with him. The man lie trusts to attend to his business affairs, really is plotting against him. On -Marshall's ranch is buried a treasure guarded by an aged A aqiu chief, last of his tribe. An airplane accident brings a young forest ranger into their lives, complicating matters.
