The demand continues slow. Official quotations are:— New Zealand.—Finest salted 168 s to 172 s per ewt (Is lid to Is o[d per !1>), exceptional 174 s per ewt (Is <SA per lb), unsalted L7os to 174 s per cut (Is GRI to Is GUI per Hi) : other qualities IGO-s to 162 s per ewt (Is oil to Is 5d per lb). Australian.—Salted JGGs to Llls per ewt (Is 53d to Is G. , ,d per lb), unsalted IGSs to 170 s per cut (Is Gd to Is G.fd per lb) ; other qualities 138 s to 156 s per ewt (Is 23d to Is lid per lb), Canadian.— 164 sto 166 s per cut (Is old to Is 53d per lb). Irish.—Creamery 102 sto JGGs per ewt. (Is old to Is o'fd per lb). Unsalted 106 s to IGSs per ewt (Is ojd to Is Gd per lb). Argentine.—Unsalted 154 s to 160 s per ewt (Is 4-Id to Is od per lb) ; other qualities 144 s to 152 s per ewt (Is 3jd to Is IA per lb). Siberian.—l36s to 142 s per ewt (Is 2.1 d to Is 3d per lb), exceptional 144 s per ewt (Is 3) per lb). IVuiisli.—l7os per cu t (Is Of per lb). CHEESE. English continues in good demand at unaltered prices. Ibe Colonial maiket is quiet lmt steady. Official quotations are:— Canadian. —Finest coloured 84s to 88s per ewt- (Od to 9\d per lb), white 80s to f)os per ewt (9’,d to Old per lb). New Zealand.—Coloured 85s to 86s per ewt (Del to O'.d per lb), white 88s to fifls per cut (Old to Old per lb). \ shipment of New Zealand produce arrived this week per s.s. Rijilnne. TALLOW. The spot market is steady with little more interest in float parcels. Present quotations are : —Mutton—Fine 45s per cut, fair to good 43s to 44s Gd per ewt, dark to dull 41s to 42s per ewt. Beef —Sweet and—or mixed 44s to 45s Gd per cut, fair to good 42s Gd to 43s Gd per ewt. dark to dull 40s Gd to 41s Gd per cut. Mixed —Fair to good 42s to 43s Gd per cu t. dark to dull 40s to -lls per ewt. Gut, etc.. 3.s to 41s per cu-t. APPLES. The only small shipment of American apples ('Gravenstein) on London market as vet selling at 14s Gd to 16s. Liverpool prices are:—Gravenstein 10s to 10s. Stayman’s Winsap 9s Gd to 10s 9d Wealthy Us to 12s 3d. WOOL. Warped market maintains a satisfactory tone, and prices are firm nil round at last- quotations. HEMP. The manila market- is firm. “J” grade August-October shipments sold up to £45 103. September-Xovember shipments £46. Sisal is dull with sellers of No. 1 Tanganyika and Kenya at £43. The New Zealand market is quiet. Sellers of Highpoints ask £3B. buvers offer £37 for any position. Fair, sellers £35. buyers £34 10s. Common, early shipments, sold at- £32.
