Comhoutaiii.k Fashions Alter contemplating the summer fashions, a writer in the London ’limes ventured to predict the course of dress reform for men. He observed that though the protection of ladies in the winter is yet unsure, their summer liberty is beyond question and is the greater the more fashionable they are. Men have taken at least the first step towards emancipation and all the most exalted perambulators in the park, which a few years ago would have been an oppression of quilts, coverlets, and satin bonnets, bear witness, in their brown legs of the young Spartans kicking their delight, to the progress of reform in the nurseries.
