Coronci* Meldrum held an inquest at Greymouth. yesterday in regard to the death of George Clayton, of Inchbonnic. Evidence was given by Ernest Edward Sherlock that lie occupied the same bach as the deceased. On August 22 the deceased went out about 6 p.m.. to teed the horses. About five or ten minutes later went out and found the deceased lying on the ground moaning. Witness went over to the defeased and asekd him what was wrong. He was told that the horse had kicked the deceased. Witness carried the deceased into the house. There were four horses together feeding at the time. Tiie Coroner’s verdict was that cause of death was due to haemorrhage following on a rupture of the liver as the result of a kick from a horse at luchhonnie on August 22.
