Edwards (England) in 33.4 seconds, a world’s record. The progress points are: Britain, fifteen ; France, thirteen; Sweden, six ; Japan, five; Poland, live. LONDON, Aug. 28. *At Gothenburg Women's Olympiad. Miss Hitoini (Japan) jumped 5J metres. a world’s record. The thousand metre walk was won bv Miss D. Crossley (England) in 310 seconds, a world’s record. An English air-woman. Miss Elliott Lynn, gained fourth place in throwing the javelin.
