HOKITIKA MINIATURE RIFLE CLUB.

At a meeting of the following held in t o Soldiers’ Hal! on Alonday, August 23. 1920. the above Club was formed. Present:—.Messrs (Mclntosh (chair), Paterson, Gaylor, Lynch, Sharmuu, Shaiul. (Morris, Hutchinson (2), Drummond, Best and Baigent. The following officers were elected : Patron : Hon. H. L. Micliel. President: D. J . Evans. Deputy-President: J. J. Afclntosli. Vice-Presidents: IV. E. Williams, H. E. Partridge, W. Keller, AY. H. Newman. 1. Brown, D. J. Hutchinson, H. Wells. C. J. King. S. AY. Ford. Hon. Surgeons: Drs Baird, Buchanan and Teicheinutnn. Hon. Secretary and Treasurer: C. Gaylor. Club Captain: W. Sharmau. Rifle Caretaker: John AVallace. Executive Committee: Alessrs Best, Drummond, Shannon, Shand, Paterson, Lynch and Baigent. It was agreed that a Committee quorum ho four members, and that this Chib affiliate with the N.Z. Aliniature Rifle Association. The annual fee being lflii.' Alonday night of each week was appointed qs the Club’s official shooting night but members could have the use of the range any night the Soldiers’ Hall was disengaged providing they paid the rent of 3s per night whic-.i the Returned Soldiers’ Committee notified as the rental. Two B.S.A. rifles and full equipment are being purchased and a working Committee was formed to erect the range and with ordinary success it is hoped to have the first shoot on September (itlli, 192(3.

The way supporters are coming forward bids well for the Club’s success, a teams competition will be inaugurated. The teams being entered from the different members of firms, Fire Brigade, Kanieri members and any others that offer. Any person wishing to join will obtain full information from Mr C. Gaylor or any member of the Committee. The membership fee was decided upon as 10s per annum.
