LATE LOCALS.

The death took place at the O'Connor Home, Westport, on Wednesday night of an old and highly esteemed resident of Westport and district, in tlie pierson of John Patrick Milligan, aged 83 years. The deceased, who was one of the hardy pioneers: followed mining pursuits and spent a good deal of his time in Addison’s and Ngakawau.- He was a widower. Mr Neil Dean, of Ngakawau, is a grandson of the deceased.
