The Workers’ Compensation Amendment Bill increasing payments for partial incapacity up to 66 2-3 per cent of wages and compensation for fatal accidents up to a maximum of £I,OOO, was introduced by Governor-General’s message and referred to the Labour Bills Committee. Electric Wiremen’s Registration Amendment Bill was also read a first time. The House adjourned at 10 p.m till 2.30 next day.
