WESTLAND SUB-UNION. MONDAY, AUGUST 23rd. The Sub-Union met at 8 p.m. Pres-ent—-Messrs McGregor (chair), Steele, Cutbnsh, Breeze, Moore, Stafford and lleenan. The minutes were confirmed and correspondence outward approved. INWARD CORRESPONDENCE.
From W.C.R.U., in reference to one round for the new competition.—Received. From E. Partridge, reporting on Schools football. —Received, and £2 2s voted to the fund. Permission was granted for a match, "Westport v. Hokitika, on Wednesday, September Ist. with permission for the gate-money to be taken. Kiwi, Excelsior, Kanieri and Kokntnhi nominated teams for the Junior Knock-Out Competition. The Kokatahi Club notified retirement from senior competition, and nomination for junior.—Received. J. Gugich was granted transfer from Excelsiors to Kanieri. JUNIOR COMPETITION. The first round was drawn as follows, on Saturday, August 28tli:—
Kokatahi v. Excelsiors, Kokatahi, Mr Gaylor. Kiwis v. Kanieri, at Hokitika. It was resolved that no further transfers he granted this season, after Monday night next.
