Brassington, left on Friday to come down the Waimakariri oil a raft from Cora Lynn. So far they are unheard of. Both belong to Christchurch. THEFT CHARGE. PALMERSTON NORTH. Aug. 23. Since his arrest accused has been writing to his solicitors and seeing different ministers of religion. He has used up sheets of foolscap, said a police officer when a Finn named Sutni was charged at the Court this morning for theft of a. shirt. Accused alleged lie had prepared a statement which the police failed to send to the proper quarter. He has been a perfect nuisance added the police officer. Accused, who 'had a lengthy list of prior offences was sent to gaol for two months.
