Australian (salted) 166 s to 170 s per cwt (Is oijd to Is 6jd per lb), (unsalted) 160 s to 172 s per cwt (Is 5Jd to Is Gjd per lb), (other qualities, salted) 142 s to 160 s per cwt (Is 3d to Is od per lb), (unsalted) 142 s to 154 s per cwt (Is 3d to Is 4ld per lb). Argentine (unsalted) lots to- 160 s per cwt (Is -lid to Is od per lb), (other qualities) 14Gs to 152 s per cwt (Is 3ld to Is 4>-d per lb). Siberian 138 s to 146 s per cwt (Is 2RI to Is 3id per lb). Irish (creamery) 164 s to 170 s per cwt (Is oj-cl to Is ORI per lb), (unsalted) 168 s to 172 s per cwt (Is Od to Is (lid per lb). Canadian (creamery) 166 s to 170 s per cwt (Is 4;L to Is 6-}d per lb), (unsalted) 172 s per cwt (Is Old per lb).’ Danish 177 sto 180 s per cwt (Is 7d to Is 7-]d per lb). CHEESE. Tlic demand is good for English. Colonial quiet. Official quotations are: English (finest farmers) 90s to 100 s per cwt (IOJd to 10R1 per lb). Canadian (finest coloured) 80s to BSs per cwt (9Jd per lb), (white) 88s to 90s per cwt (ORI to 91 per lb). New Zealand (coloured). 85s to 80s per cwt (8d to ORI per lb), (white) 88s to 90s per cwt (ORI to Slid per lb). Shipments of New Zealand produce arrived this week per s.s. Alabama, and Ruapehu. ; TALLOW. The spot market is quiet. Very little business lias been done at auction this week and prices are lower. Official quotations are:— Alutton—Fine 45s to 45s Od per cwt, lair to good 43s to 44s 6d per cwt, dark to dull 41s to 42s per cwt. Beef—Sweet ancl-or mixed 44s to 45s fid per cwt, fair to good 42s 6d to 44s per cwt, dark to dull 40s Od to 41s 6d per cwt. Afixed—Fair to good 42s to 43s Od per cwt, dark to dull 40s 6d to 41s per cwt. Gut, etc.—37s to 43s per cwt. TIEAIP. The Afaiiila market remains firm. “J” grade August-September and Sep-tember-November shipments sold at £44. Stocks in Alanila July 31 were 191.000 hales against 141,000 at the, same period last year. Great Britain 26,331 against 27.280. Sisal market steady. No. 1 Tanganyika and Kenya afloat, August-Octoher shipments, sold at £43. New Zealand fair demand, hut business restricted on account of scarcity of oilers. There are buyers for Highpoints £37, fair £33 10s to £34; rejected afloat sold at £3O 10s. AVOOL. Better tone. The Bradford market maintained prices. Tops steady at about last' quotations.
