WESTLAND COMPETITIONS SOCIETY.
Elocutionary, musical and dancing competitions will be held on Monday and Tuesday next. The competitions will begin in the Town Hall on Alonday and Tuesday next. The competitions will begin in the Town Hall on Monday, when there will bo forenoon, afternoon and evening sessions. On Tuesday, there will be morning and afternoon sessions at both the Town Hall and Princess Theatre. On Tuesday night the Competitions will conclude with a grand demonstration concert at the Princess Theatre.
The judges for the Competitions are: Elocution. Air R. T. Busli, Greymouth; music. Air E. Aloss, Greymouth; dancing, Air A. Barrowman, Ruatapu. Aliss Aileen Daly. A.T.C.L, is the official acompaniste. and Piper Hay (Greymouth) will supply the music for the dancing, all of which takes place at Princess Theatre on Tuesday. Alcmbers tickets admit to all sessions and final demonstration. The prices are: family, 7s ‘6il; adult, o.s; juvenile 2s 6d. The charge to the general public will he day sessions Is. evening sessions 2s and Is.
At all sessions there is a very full list of performers, and the Competitions will lie in steady progress on both days. No doubt there will he a large attendance of the public to enjoy the entertainment which the local talent Avill provide.
