LUXURY" AIOTOR-LINER. LONDON, July 1. Gleaming in spotless grey and white, wi.tln squat funnels painted red, the most luxurious motor-sliip in the world, the Union Castle Company’s new 20,000-tons liner Carnarvon Castle, reached Southampton yesterday from Belfast and will prepare for her maiden voyage to South Africa on July 16. Equipped with the latest gear and appliances, including two motor-life-boats provided with wireless and searchlights, the new liner has accommodation for 1,500 first, second and third-class passengers and crew. A,- befits what will, he the largest vc i-;el in the South African trade, it is beautifully fitted in Dutch as well as English and French styles. The firstclass reception room and dining-room are designed in the English Renaissance period style and the furniture is of mahogany. .
