WELLINGTON DEFEATED. Carterton, Aug. 11. Wellington and Wairarapa met today in perfect football weather, with no wind and no ground advantage. After a close contest Wairarapa proved the winners by 24—17. At halftime Wellington led by 14 to 5, but towards the end of the game the winners had by far the best of the play and ran up the points quickly. AUCKLAND REPS. AUCKLAND, Aug. 11.
