SYDNEY, August 12

At a meeting the New South Wales Golf Council in response to the invitation to Australian golfers to participate in the championship and handicap meeting at Miramar and Wanganui. It was stated that whether the representatives of the Australian or New South Wales team' were available or not, a party was being got together for the purpose of making the trip, thus inaugurating regular visits between the golfers of New Zealand and Australia.

A. W. Jackson defeated Alec Russell holder of the, amateur golf championship of Victoria at the thirty-eighth hole.
