The House met at 2.30 p.m. The afternoon sitting was entirely taken up with the receipt of departmental reports and other formal business. : At the evening sitting, the House immediately went into Committee, of Supply to further consider the Estimates, when the following were passed:—National Provident Fund and Friendly Societies Department, £23,89"; Cook Islands £20,972; Department of Industries and Commerce, £41,157; Valuation Department £49,183; Main Highways Account, £571.500; Mental Hospitals, £330,086; Audit Department, £28,629; State Forests Accmuil £230,000; Nauru and Ocean Islands Account, £IOOO. This completed consideration of the Estimates and the House rose,at 1.15 a.m. till 2.30 p.m.
