Despite the Aloscow official denials cf disorders, travellers from Aloscow report th.it there is decided excitement and sad uneasiness in the Kremlin circles, owing to disorders- iu the Red Army, consequent un Al. Lashevich's dismissal from-the post of Deputy Commissar cf War, and to the expulsion l'roin the Communist party sinnr.taneously of AL Ziuovielf. AJ. Lashevich and Al. Trotsky- are close friends, and both are most popular in the army. Therefore AL Stalin -and his followers arc unable to act rigorously, lienee there is an electrical atmosphere.
His friends criticise AL Sta.’.iu for failing to come to terms with the opposition. Hence there has been a postponement from the autumn till the spring in 1927 of the Congress of the Soviet Republic, and the Soviet elections. owing to a fear of an absolute party split. BERLIN, Aug. 30. In view of the reports of a critical situation in Russia, significance is altaclied to an official intimation from Moscow that tho Annual Soviet Congress is not being held this year, but has been postponed until the spring of 1927.
