AVEST? COAST RUGBY' UNION

At the weekly meeting last evening at Greymouth it was decided to supply tho N.Z. Rugby Union with a list of the teams playing under this union, as requested.' The Pirate third, grade team of Denniston was given permission to play a AVest Coast fourth grade rep. team at Greymoutli! on September 4. Buffer Union notified its- acceptance of August 14 as the date for the return match at Greymouth against AVest Coast. Blaketown Club were granted permission to entertain ATerivale junior team who play the West Coast junior reps on August 28. B. Gibbons was granted a transfer to United subject to Hokitika Club’s consent. Star Club’s explanation of G. Brown’s absence ’.from the AVest Coast rep. team at AA’estport was received. It was decided, in reply to representations by the Star Club, to inform them of the reasons why certain United players were reclassified, and that a Star player was refused reclassification because he was considered a senior grade man. A letter from Star Club re awarding Hokitika, the match fixed for Saturday week last with Stars was held over till next meeting. The application of J. AL’ Griffin for readmission to the code wa.s held over till next meeting. The senior selectors were directed to choose tho senior and junior reps, next Saturday night. -
