PARLIAMENT
(BY TELEGRAPH PER PRESS ASSOCIATION THE HOUSE. WELLINGTON, Aug. 3. The House met at 2.30 p.m. Teh following bills were introduced by the Governor-General’s message:— Stock Amendment Bill, (dealing with branding and earmarking); Fishing Amendment Bill, (Canterbury licenses for fishing ,at Rotorua) ; EducationAmendment Bill, (giving effect to amendments asked for by Education Boards); Railway Bill, (consolidation of present law) : Land and Income Tax Amendment Bill, (of a purely technical nature and a. policy measure); Land and Income Tax Amendment Bill (which is the annual taxing bill and does not propose any change in taxation). The afternoon sitting was occupied with a discussion on the annual report of the State Advances Office. At thie evening sitting, the Minister of Agriculture moved the second reading of the Dairy Produce Export Control Amendment Bill, which provided for the-ward system in connection with the election of the Board. After a lengthy debate the second reading was agreed to on the voices and the House roso at 2.45 a.m. till 2.30 p.m.
