SYDNEY POLICE COUP. SYDNEY, Aug. 1. One of the most sensational coups in the history of New South AVales police was brought off, in the early hours of to-day, when three men were arersted at the point of the revolver, while breaking into the Union Bank of Australia in the city.

Some time ago,, a man rented an office in the Union Bank Chambers. His actions aroused the suspicions of the police. He and his assistants were closely watched. Early this morning detectives wont to the building, and they found three men boring through the floor of the bank below. They found that a lingo hole had been made in the floor. There was also a rope ladder attached, giving free access to the Bank Chamber, which contained £9OOO.

ANOTHER TRAGEDY. BRISBANE, Aug. 2.

The bodies of Frank William Henderson and his 17-year old' daughter and his mother-in-law, Mrs Hanah Hallast, were found on Henderson’s section at Gradule. It is believed Henderson poisoned himself after having shot the other two. The district is a very lonely one, and 1 there are no neighbours for miles. The deed was not discovered for two days.
