LATE LOCALS.

The death took place at Westport on Thursday evening of Patrick Fleming, an old and much esteemed resident. Deceased was a native of Ireland, but had spent most of his life in New Zealand, coming to the coast in the palmy 'days. Air and Mrs Fleming for many years, were caretakers of Charleston hospital. Later Mr Fleming imd a contract on the Knramea (ond. He was tin experienced' gardener, and followed this occupation during a considerable part of the time he was resident in Westport. He leaves a widow and one married daughter, Mrs Sinclair.
