NURMI AND ROSE. LONDON, July 29. Nurmi informed Sir J. Allen that he will not be able to meet Rose before the loth August, hut lie is willing to race him at the .International meeting at Oslo on tre 28th August.
ROSE’S TOUR. WELLINGTON, July 30. The New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association has arranged through the Premier, to cable the High Commissioner requesting him to communicate with MeHolm to convey instructions from the N.Z.A.A.A. to retain Rose on the Continent beyond the proposed date of return, if lie shows indications of retaining his best form, and there are further opportunities of attempting open. Milton of the Council informed a “Post” reporter to-day that MeHolm had been instructed to advise the Council of Rose’s progress and movements each week end by cable, so acute public interest may be satisfied.
