WELLINGTON, July 28. Considerable interest vuis taken in tbo inter-varsity match Victoria College v. Canterbury College. The southerners won out by a majority of three points, after a well contested game, the visitors’ final spurt by their forwards doing the trick.. McKay scored for Victoria College, and O’Began converted. Lovcridgc (Canterbury) kicked a penalty gojal. Dickson (Canterbury) then got a try, and the scores were 6 to 5 in favour of the visitors at half time. O’Regan kicked a penalty goal and gave Victoria College a lead of 2 points, till a great rally at the finish saw Petrie score for the visitors, and Loveridge kicked a magnificent goal. Canterbury College won by 11 to 8.
