FRENCH POLITICS. PARIS, July 27
The Chamber of Deputies decided that the Finance Committee must report t"he Finance Bill within 24 hours, and then adjourn till Friday. PARIS, July 27.
An official statement discloses that the Government proposes the immediate raising, by new indirect taxation, of two and a half milliards of francs to provide the necessary treasury funds. The Government further proposes to readjust various duties, to increase tho railway rates and also the taxes on mineral waters, motor cars, waterways and business turnover. It will revise the customs duties. The taxes oil income from personal property will be increased by fifty per cent. The taxes on bearer securities will he reduced, but others will be increased, and also the estate duty. The general income tax will be reduced.
STORMY SITTING OF CHAMBER LONDON, July 28.
The sitting of the French Chamber opened very stormily. The spectacle of M. Herriot on the front bench between M. Poincare and M. Briand was more than the Extreme Leftists could stand. They cheered derisively, this finally bursting into ail uproar. When M. Raoul Perot, in a speech acknowledging his election to the Presidency of the Chamber, alluded to the brilliant qualities of his predecessor (M. Herriot) the storm broke out afresh.
When AT. Poincare mounted the rostrum. tho Communists rose in a body and sang “ The Internationale,” which the rest of the members of the Chamber tried to drown with cheers.
M. Perot produced his tall hat as the signal of his intention to suspend the sitting, which, thereafter, calmed down though M. Poincare was frequently interrupted.

The French franc on London closed yesterday at 1851 and opened to-day at 196 1-3.'
