The 800 metres was won l>v Low (England) ill two minutes eleven and two-fifths seconds. Hurdles, Gaby (England) in fifteen and two fifths seconds. But'ghleigli, was second but v.as disqualified for knocking down tile hurdle. Discus, Paoli (France) 38.1 metres. Five thousand metres, Johnson (England) caused a surprise by beating Guillemot in fifteen minutes and two-fifths seconds.
