Holding that co-respondent in a divorce ease had a moral responsibility to maintain the woman, who was the respondent, Air Bartholomew, S.AI., refused to make an order in a judgment summons ease, in which the,petitioner in this divorce, Sydney James Williams, claimed from the co-respond-ent, John Eraser, £24 19s 6d, the costs ordered to be paid in that action. A farm labourer, Kenneth Codlin, aged 50, missing since .Monday, "as found dead yesterday. Deceased was employed on J. Simpson's farm at Ruawai. He left Jdie house in the morning and was not .seen alive again. The body was found 50 yards from the house. At tin inquest, the doctor’s evidence disclosed that deceased had been receiving attention for heart trouble, and gave the opinion Hint he had a heart attack which was the cause of death. The Coroner returned a verdict accordingly.

DAIRY INDUSTRY. AVE LUNG TON, July 14. Addressing the National Dairy Associations conterduee to-day, Air Singleton, director of the Dairy Division, said the .Minister of Agriculture proposed to bring down legislation 1 1 is session to further amend the Daily Industry Act. Should the Bill become law. it would be necessary to consider regulations to deal with the cream grading proposals. The time was opportune to revise tlio original regulations and include others which, though never gazetted, had been very generally adopted in effect. Regarding cream gliding, it was proposed to make it the duty of the company or owner to provide a grader who would he examined by an officer of the division, and on passing tile examination ho would be granted ,a certificate. Cream was to he graded finest, first grade, and second gride. The finest would he the cream making butter that would grade not less than 93 points, first 90 to 90 points and second under 90. It would he obligatory on all companies to make differential advance payments, the minimum difference being a halfpenny between finest and first 'and one penny between first and 'second. Tlio . factory owners would |,c- required to colour such creams as were unfit for human consumption. The speaker dealt with the subject of a national brand and standard export butter boxes* and cheese crates. The parchment paper for lining butter boxes was to be of goad qniHty, and weighing a minimum of 281 b a ream. A regulation had been drafted to cause the present cheese crate in general use to he recognised as the standard date. Other regulations dealt with milking sheds, plants, cold stores for export, etc.
