adoincton stock sales. beef AND MUTTON FIRM. (By Telegraph.—Special to Guardian.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Messrs 11. Matson and Co. report as follows regarding their stock sale at Addington yards yesterday:— Store sheep—A very small entry, only a few pens being yarded. The demand was good for all sorts. S.m. hoggets 21. s to 22s 3d; medium f, 0 and 8-tooth Romney cross ewes 28s ul F.M. ditto 20s lOd. Best wethers 25s to 2Gs 4d; medium 23s to 245. Store cattle —Very few were enter-t-d and no quotable lines offered. Beef—A similar sized yarding to last week and included a few really nice quality North Islanders. The market generally was slightly firmer, especially for heifers and good young cows. Prime steers Bios 10s to £.1!) 10s; prime heifers £lO to' £l2 los, extra to £lO 7s fkl, medium £7 5s to £9 15s, others to 05; prime cows £9 to £l2 10s. extra to £ls 7s Od, medium £6 10s to £S los.

Owing to the facidries closing at the end of the week, exporters evidently were keen consequently the demand for any freezing quality was good, and well above schedule. Prime wethers 34s to 3/s Gd, extra to 46s Id, medium'3os to 33s bit. lighter to 275; prime ewes 24s Gdl to 28s. extra 335, medium 21 6d to l4s, others to 16s. . Taunhs -Only odds and ends m and nothing quotable offered although what was in sold well.
