A fire gutted Ackers Lonsdales Proprietary confectionery factory at Petersham, and caused damage of fifteen thousand sterling, STEAMER ON FIRE. MELBOURNE, July 13. The steamer Kooringa, laden with six thousand eases of petrol and benzine is afire twenty six miles off Capo Selianek. The crew were rescued by the steamer Kooyong. The donkeyman. of the Kooringa was severely burned.

The rescuing steamer Kooyong is making for Queenscliffe, where; medical attention is available. The Kooringa has been abandoned. She burned to the waterline.
SENTENCED TO DEATH. PERTH, July 15. Roy.stem Ronnie (cabled on 4th June) was found guilty of the murder of John Grenville, and was sentenced to death. FIJI BOWLING CARNIVAL.
