TURKISH TRIALS. " CONSTANTINOPLE, July 13. The execution of fifteen of the conspirators who were found guilty of the attempt' to assassinate Mustapha i Hemal Pasha (President of Turkey), - has been arranged to take place at ' dawn to-morrow. All fifteen of them are prominent politicians. It was revealed at their trial that the plot was conceived in December by a hand of individuals closely assoiiafcd with the Opposition. Several audacious schemes were proposed ; in order that the plot should not fail. Out of fifty arrested, a number were ‘ discharged. The trials of others are proceeding. AUSTRALIA’S POSITION. The London wool sales had an ex- ' eellent opening, despite the Home traders’ troubles, due to the strike. There was a good selection of merinos, of which all classes, greasy and scuuif eds, remained firm at last sale’s quota/ tions. The fine crossbred offerings were small. Whereas it is difficult to base quotations, fine crossbreds were firm at unchanged rates. Medium and lower crossbred sorts were five per cent down. Lambs' short wools were firm at unaltered rates. The competition was general and spirited. The Contineutial buyers operated keenly in merinos, despite the adverse exchanges. SOUTH AFRICAN LOAN. (Received" this day at 8 a.m.) LONDON, July 14.
