AUCKLAND, July LI, ! A 12-roomed house at Takapuna sold by R. Fimvick two months ago to .1, Link was burned this morning. j AGAINST GAMBLING. AUCKLAND, July 14. The local Presbyterians passed a resolution against' all forms of gambling. CHARGE DISMISSED. AUCKLAND, July 11. Margaret Esther Buyers was before the Court diarged with negligent driving. She had been tried and acquitted previously in the Supreme Court on a charge of causing the death of Emma Thorbury and the facts were the same. Mr Boynton dismissed the case on the ground that no one can lie tried twice for the si;me offence.
