[Reuter Telegrams.] LONDON, iiily 10. A heavy downpour of rain at Leeds occurred during the afternoon. Within an hour the ground was under water'. The rain then ceased and the water dried up rapidly. The pitch shows little sign of having suffered. If there is no more rn.in play will not he interfered with. Tile groundsman sa'vs the pitch will he in nearly perfect condition. The weather forecast says there is likely to lie a few more days bright weather. Showers may come down from the north as far as Leeds but they will he nothing,,to. talk about.
