SYDNEY, July 8. Although there i.s a heavy swell running tbe passengers the passengers
running, the passengers of the Cooina fwere safely transferred to the Burwali. They will ho landed at Port Alma this afternoon. The Burwnh reached the Cooinn before midnight and ns there was no immediate danger, it was decided in view of the heavy swell, not to attempt the transfer until to-day. At early dawn, a. start was made and the passengers were safely removed.
H.M.S. “Moresby” arrived on the scene after the Burwnh. She also stood hy in order to transfer the crew if necessary, ns the Cooma was bumping heavily. This afternoon the crew were taken off the Cooma aboard the Moresby. It is now feared that the Cooma will Income a total ctwk. Efforts are being made hy shifting her cargo from the how to the stern, to enable the Tngela to get the vessel off the reef. Apparently the Cooma is not yet ‘seriously damaged.
