ADDINGTON STOCK SALES. A SMALL YARDING. (By Telegraph.—Special to Guardian.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Messrs H. Matson and Co. report as follows regarding their stock sale at Addington yards yesterday : Store sheep—A remarkable falling off in the yarding. The demand for breeding ewes showing in lamb was very solid and prices were in advance of previous sales. Hoggets were praeticallHy non-existent. Cbrricdale ewe liaggets, 30s. All hoggets sold well. A line of four and six-tooth -J bred ewes made 32s 4d. Wethers were of a poor quality, but sold freely. ' Mutton—Another largo yardiim, a larger proportion of wethers. Tho market opened firm and continued throughout, exporters operating freely. No alteration in last week’s prices. Fat lambs—Only 586 were yarded and the average was very light. Butchers made heavy lambs dear, ami there "'as a demand hy export buyers above schedule rates. Beef—There wore 475 head yarded.

Fat pigs—the entry for both baoonors and porkers was lighter than last week, but in the porker department prices throughout were slightly better than last week’s rates. a few choppers were yarded and prices in this section were excellent. Values were: Light porkers 50s to 555, heavy 57s Gd to 735; average 9Jd to 10}d. Light, baconers £4 5s to £3 15s, heavy £5 to £5 IBs, extra to £G 10s; nvernge Bjd to 9]d. Choppers £3 10s to £8 18s Gd.

Store pigs—A larger entry than usual and from the commencement of the sale it was apparent that pinwould ho easier all round, and this opinion was confirmed as tho sale progressed . Values: Moaners 16s to 20s, slips 22s to 255, small stores 27s to 29 Gd, medium 33s to 38s, large Into 51s Gd.
