MAGISTRATE'S COURT
THURSDAY. JULY Bth. (Before W. Meldrum, Esq., S.M.) LICENSING ACT. His Worship gave reserved judgment in the case of Police v. Amos Dowell, heard at last sitting. He found that the two men in the case were not bona fide • guests, and that the supply of | liquor was in the nature of a sale. He ; convicted and fined Dowell 40s and | costs is. The two other informations were then withdrawn. The two men concerned were convicted. one being fined 20s and costs 7s. and the other to pay costs 7s. •V first offender illegally on licensed premises (Masonic Hotel) was ordered to pay costs 7s. BOROUGH BYE-LAMS. Wm. Freitas on a charge of driving a motor cycle without lights was fined 5s and costs. Wm. Reid and Eric Good fellow riding at night without a light were each fined 5s and costs. ADJOURNED.
Argument in the pigeon case was further adjourned till next sitting on Mr Murdoch’s application.
