Semi-final mixed doubles, Godfree and Mrs Godfree heat Richards and Miss Ryan, 7-6, 6-4. Final of men’s singles, Borotra beat Kinsey 8-6, 6-1, 6-3. Final of women’s doubles, Misses! Ryan and Browne heat Mrs Godfree and Miss Colyer 6-1, 6-1. Experts assert Borotra could have beaten any player in tho world. Kinsey attempted to keep him hack from the net with lobs but lie returned these cross courtwisc and advanced to the net and demolished Kinsey’s returns with spectacular smashes. It did not take him long to master the subtle cuts and slicings. Fie hit both backhand and forehand powerfully and with certainty and even nut-lobbed Kinsev when required.
