Alvercz found his length and placed cunningly but God free showed fine defence. The games went 4-2,.0-2, Alvarez overhitting and double faulting in the second set. Alvarez continued to sacrifice aceuu.cy for severity but his placing was hotter and he went ahead 4-2, volleying• finely to win 6-4. Jn the" third set Alvarez established a three to' one lead and then Godfreo after winning a great Hilly drew even 3-3. He stayed oil the baseline Irom then on and won the match reaching a terrific ovation.
